Chess has a history of approximately 1,500 years and is played with black and white pieces. Some chess rules have changed over time. It can move in straight lines as well as diagonally, making it the most powerful piece in chess. 6- King: The king can move one square in any direction: left, right, forward, backward, or diagonally. However, it cannot move onto a square occupied by a friendly piece or move through other pieces.
